Giakos (Greek Yogurt and Cucumber with Garlic Dip)
A thick garlic yogurt and cucumber dip served cold.
Giakos is the simplest thing in this whole list, and its virtue is that it is made from things already in the fridge. Yogurt is drained thick and seasoned heavily with garlic, and cucumber is cut rather than grated so it keeps some bite. It is eaten cold, and it disappears before the plates are cleared.
