Kiwi and Spinach Blend

A fresh green drink that is tart and mellow at once, tasting mainly of kiwi and apple, with the spinach staying quiet in the background. Short, simple and quick to put together.

Kiwi and Spinach Blend

Green drinks usually fail by tasting like grass, and the trick here is volume: two kiwis and a half apple carry the flavour while the spinach is only a handful of leaves. The blender runs in short bursts with a pause between them, because spinach keeps blending down to a chalky, dull grey if you push it too far. Drink it the same day, while the colour is still vivid.
