Leche Flan with Macau Style (Filipino Caramel Custard)

The Macau-leaning version is baked in small individual moulds rather than one large tin, and it is denser, with more of the caramel bitterness carried through. Individual portions set faster, which suits a bakery that sells them through a counter all day. Moulds are traditionally lined so the custard lifts out whole.
