Fatteh Makdous (Lebanese Pickled Turnip Dip)

Fatteh makdous is the Lebanese version of a dip that uses what is left after a jar of pickles has been opened. Turnips that have been brined with garlic and chilli are chopped and folded into strained yogurt, which cools the heat rather than hiding it. It is served cold as part of a mezze spread.
